Congratulations to the WHS Concert and Symphonic Band who recieved Superior Ratings this weekend at the District XI Band Festival held at McDonough High School!!! Both of the Bands and the Orchestra are now eligilble for the State Festival which is held in early May!!

Boston Trip is cancelled!!! Due to the lack of student interest, the Boston trip has been cancelled. But...
In order to make our trip available to more students we will try to take a shorter overnight trip to Williamsburg. This will greatly reduce the cost of the trip. If you have made a deposit towards the Boston Trip it will be put towards the Williamsburg trip. All performing groups will be invited. Information will be coming home with your students today. You will also find more information posted on the website this afternoon.

The Westlake Symphonic and Concert Band will be performing this Friday at the District XI Band Festival at McDonugh High School. The Symphonic band performance time is 2:30 and the Concert Band performs at 6:30. For more information please click on the document to the right.

Congratulations to the Westlake Orchestra who scored all I's this weekend and recieved a SUPERIOR RATING at this years District XI Orchestra Festival.

Congratulations to sophmore's Ameila Tarlton, Ross McCool and senior Brandon Reburn for Scoring a Superior Rating at this weekends Solo and Ensemble Festival. And congratulations go out to Mr. John Fray for scoring a rating of Excellent on his solo.

A special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Ringer, Mrs. Allen, Mr. Monk and all the students that helped this past weekend in organizing and running the Orchestra Festival that was held at Westlake. The event was a huge success and showed off WESTLAKE in a positive manner. THANK YOU!!!

Instead of the scheduled Pre-frestival concert on WEDNESDAY FEB.27,2008 there will be a practice for the symphonic band at 6:00pm until 8 all members are required to attend!
